Almost There Egg
Unmaintained and forgotten. Rotted wood covers the expanse of this ovoid, a crumbling mahogany, coated with a heavy layer of gray dust. Stray pieces of old furniture do nothing to brighten this decrepit structure, holding that same muted brown hue. Natural light floods in through a nearly nonexistent roof. Those sharp diagonal shafts cut through the darkness in a bright orange glow. A struggle to aid the imagination, to uncover the potential long ago buried away in memories and grime. A maitre de. A gourmet kitchen. And hanging from the ceiling, a big ol' crystal chandelier!
Described by: Klohi
Egg Inspiration: This egg is inspired by the song Almost There in Disney's The Princess and Frog movie. The protagonist, Tiana, has just raised enough money to buy an old sugar mill in which she wants to turn into her own restaurant. The song is about how working hard has enabled her to do so, despite her mother worrying that Tiana has little to no social life. Her mother may not approve of the rundown building, but Tiana can see the potential and refuses to stop until she's achieved her goal. Just because someone doesn't quite understand or see your dream as you do, doesn't mean that you should give up. You're almost there!

More Than Meets The Egg
Grim battle is brought to the grayscale backdrop of this gritty, midsized egg by the clash of grainy gunmetal and hyperspeed burst of brilliant laser-blue. Discordant war rages over such a bleak and inhospitable turf, chased with tribal patterns of faintest crimson against the deepest saturation of royal blue. Dominance is not yet established, the color schematic constantly changing, ever-fluid: it seems to move, to shift, with hypnotic intent, even when one has a firm gaze settled to the surface. It is only reasonable - logical, daresay rational - to understand that at the core of this egg, burgeoning life begins: and thus, grey and blue ultimately matters little. Indeed, one would do well to recognize that there is much more than meets the eye.
Described by: Tyrar
Egg Inspiration: Most of us grew up watching Transformers as a kid. When it comes to the recent live-action motion picture, you either love it, or love to hate it… or, at least, love to watch Megan Fox running around in a crop top. Or Josh Duhamel with big guns, other than his arms. Or the shiny cars that transform into the saviors of humanity. Take your pick. The coloration of this egg is based off of a film poster, which can be seen below — a composition of a close-up of Optimus Prime's eye, OP himself, and the backdrop of an Earth lit only by the bright gleam of Prime's spark.
Picture: http://geekgirlsnetwork.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/transformers-movie.jpg
The Garden of Candy Egg
There is something particularly odd about the garden of delights that is encased in fragile shell, indeed there is something suggestively edible about each pattern that covers the surface. A river of rich brown winds through fluffy cottony greenery filled with bulbuous growths resembling candy of all things. Toadstools of taffy, bushes of lollies, and flowers of flavored gum dot the landscape, even the rocks are in this reality giant boulders of crystallized sugar. But the best of all these is the frothy foaming waterfall of what could only be pure chocolate.
Described by: S'tao
Egg Inspiration: This was the most delicious movie ever, the original Gene Wilder version of course. Not only was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory a favorite book of mine, but a favorite musical. The candy garden in the factory has been in my mind since I was a child.
Picture: http://thecia.com.au/reviews/w/images/willy-wonka-and-the-chocolate-factory-0.jpg
Verdant Paradise Egg
At first, it almost seems as if this egg is devoid of color. Upon closer inspection, though, a rainbow of color grows and blossoms from bottom to top. Faded cerulean pours its brilliance from the top of the egg dome as if light is being emitted from above. Growing to meet the egg's sky are odd vine and flower shaped patterns, chartreuse vines, eggplant purple leaf hearts, and amber blossoms.
Described by: Delia
Egg Inspiration: The egg is meant to look if you are standing on the ground and peering from the forest floor to the bright blue sky in Fern Gully, the Last Rainforest. The light filters through the dense canopy, making colors muted and dim, but they are all there, and in brilliant abundance.
Picture: http://starshine1.files.wordpress.com/2010/02/ferngully.jpg
Otherworld Mystery Egg
Dark, aqua envelops this long, slender, almost angular egg. Flawless in its coverage, no imperfection mars the matte surface. Jagged, Harper blue stripes interrupt the background, running in parallel around the sides of the egg. Aqua does not meld seamlessly with the dark blue, leaving a faint mottled pattern around the outside of the stripes. The ends of the stripes do not meet to form a concentric ring around the egg; instead, the ends taper off gradually to a point, leaving a narrow channel of dark blue. Scattered randomly within that channel are small pinpoints of brilliant white that seem to emit an otherworldly glow. Overall, the egg exudes a feel of dark, brooding mystery.
Described by: Kelethin
Egg Inspiration: The Navi from Avatar. This film is one of my absolute favorite movies. I love the story, but I love the images and the world that was created. The detail that went into Pandora was amazing. The Navi themselves are interesting creatures, with their blue skin, long limbs and tails, ability to mentally link with any creature on the planet.

Avoid the Oubliette Egg
Elaborately wrought if not of a particularly notable size, the exact moment that this egg cracks will be a hard one to pinpoint. Already etched with a byzantine network of seeming crevices, already a labyrinthine facade in shades of brick-brown and mortar-beige, darkening to moss greens with occasional glimmers of fresh peach or princess pink or powdery lavender, anything less than a complete split will be lost as yet another tiny fissure amid the seeming zig-zagged chaos already depicted. Nestled deep within those brickwork crevasses, piled at the narrow apex of the shell, a smudge of spires crowns the egg. Getting there… getting there through that maze seems impossible, impassable, but - beginning at the base, trespassing one's way higher and farther - the castellated promise at the top of the egg certainly lures the eye that way.
Described by: Zhaifyn
Egg Inspiration: Thinking of visual films, The Labyrinth is among the first that came to mind. The task faced by the heroine, Sarah, of navigating her way through the labyrinth to rescue her baby brother is daunting, to say the least.

Sword In Flowering Ruins Egg
In a dark cavern where there is precious little light, there is an almost holy aura that emulates across the smooth shell of this large and serene orb. Depicted within is aged and cracked pale marble in striated columns, like the broken ruins of some forgotten temple slowly being overtaken by the surrounding flora. At the base comes forth signs of verdancy with emerging blooms of both sunshine and samite standing vigil or attentive observance for the great shaft of adamantine piercing the stone. A sword of remembrance left to mark the sacred ground, its polish long marred by battle and time with it's pommel and grip pointed skyward towards the rays streaking down through the shattered cathedral ceiling.
Described by: S'tao
Egg Inspiration: With a sire like Sephiroth, there had to be at least one FF movie included. This is a picture from Final Fantasy: Advent Children. My favorite game series, this was a highly anticipated movie by the fans and included some of the best CGI for it's time. The scene is Zack's Buster Blade left in remembrance in Aerith's abandoned church where the only flowers in Midgar can be found.
Infection is Nigh! Egg
Something odd has definitely touched this egg, and left its mark in a big, bad way. Inky black sweeps around the egg, cutting a wide, arching band around the sides while tapering off into needle-thin strips along the dome and base. Where black doesn't touch is red; dark, crimson red reminiscent of blood spatters. What remains is covered by gray-tinted white, a shade so pale as to be unnatural for it in combination with the black forms the most subtle of profiles, one which gives way to a grotesque face covered with gaping wounds.
Described by: Jordan
Egg Inspiration: So this egg is based on the trilogy known as Romero's Living Dead series (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Living Dead and Night of the Living Dead; there are now more for a total of five, I do believe) - the original that sent chills down the spines of everyone way back when. The zombies are slow and awkward and lack the strength of those in today's flicks but it doesn't make them any less frightening or the movies any less fun to watch. Why go with zombies? They are the staple of the horror/scary film genre, and if you talk movies, you have to talk zombies, and if you talk zombies then you have to mention Romero.
Picture: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1044/4603424896_7a03cb9d9c_o.jpg
Triangle Enigma Egg
What holds this egg? White like fog ebbs around ocean blues and sea foam greens, all of these swirling into an unexpected and sudden storm. Within the swirls are vague shapes of black. Are they men? They seem to resemble people, yet no specific person as the sparkling blue of electric storm teeth arc and crackle down the surface of the egg to cut around them. Blurs of color and hue seem to hide things further, as though the light touching the egg is from another time of day. The fury of the seas, wreathed in mystery, is topped by a single triangle made of blurred blue lines that seem like thin strands of glass, all coming together to form a pattern around the outlines of dark figures.
Described by: Manxel
Egg Inspiration: This egg is a tribute to the movie The Triangle, which I dearly love for being one of the best pieces of sci-fi I've ever seen. Trailer1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saoCk1EHZFI Trailer2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISu65JXloro

Bad Feeling About This Egg
Such a little egg, of darkness and far-away twinkling starbursts of white light: such a little egg indeed. The backdrop of a clear Istan winter starscape makes the yellow script marching over the midriff of this egg that much more shocking. Bright yellow, school bus yellow, unintelligible scrawl seems to fade into the background, as if drifting off into space.
Described by: Tyrar
Egg Inspiration: Star Wars. The opening credits. Just seeing a screencap makes me feel the giddiness that I felt as a kid when it was announced that I was finally old enough to see it. So, really not a bad feeling at all, come to think. ;)
Music of the Night Egg
Softly, sweetly, night envelopes this egg in infinite blackness. Tiny squares of parchment-white drift across the surface as though someone dropped a folder of sheet music. Tiny curling scrawls inch across each square of parchment with indefinite rhythm, although if one had an eye to read such things, a tune could possibly develop. The song starts out slow and sweet, as evidenced by the swirls of magenta and cyan that follow along in dulcet harmony. The chorus is a multi-hued explosion of reds — fervent bloods and rippling burgundy, played up by yellow's calmer hues of daffodil and saffron, twisting and turning around egg's apex. The epilogue returns to demanding, inviting sweetness: echoes of magenta's earlier kiss, splashes of cerulean that flicker across the entire surface in lazy swirls. As though the singer herself makes an appearance, an eye-pleasing amalgam of gentle pink and grassy green takes up the majority of egg's base.
Described by: Cordelia
Egg Inspiration: My inspiration for this egg was my great love for Phantom of the Opera. The thought of an egg based off of such a love story, twisted as it might be, appeals to me, and thus my egg was born. I imagined an egg that someone had dropped a folder of music onto, with the pages strewn about. As the song progressed, there were colors underneath the music that followed along.
Picture: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x209/wolves111/WATERFALLS%20MEDICINE/Music_of_the_Night_by_Iardacil.jpg It's not from Phantom, but it's pretty close to my visual for the egg. :)
Ghostly Gothic Egg
Ghostly figures cast their presence across rounded shell, one pale and shimmering, the other dark and shadowed. Curlicues of black wrought iron cups one side, the gates upon a glass doorway through which those blurred images can just be seen. Ebon tressed yet creamy skinned, the form of a woman can be seen gazing pleadingly outwards, but the more diaphanous figure in a silvery evening gown appears to be beamed from the long lashed eyes of the gothically cloaked one. Two tragic heroines forever encased in shell.
Described by: S'tao
Egg Inspiration: From Repo! The Genetic Opera. In the song, 'Chase the Morning', Blind Mag beams the holographic image of her best friend through the doorway to entice her godchild to open the way for her. This was an awesome rock opera that became a cult hit, not to be mistaken for Repomen! It featured the incredible Sarah Brightman as Blind Mag and Anthony Stewart Head as the Repoman.

That Which You Desire Egg
An ominous oval abyss sucks all that is and all that will ever be into a hedonistic realm that vies for world domination. From the ebony depths rises the embodiment of sin, an unpredictable presence that captures the imagination of its prey, materializing into the very image of their lascivious desires. The ghostly souls of the fallen, forever trapped by their illicit passions, will for all eternity remain awash in lurid crimson horror, screaming in terror to that which will greedily feed off their misery.
Described by: Q'luin
Egg Inspiration: Dracula 2000 - one of my all time favorite movies! It's awesome campy goodness that has an underlying story that rings so true about modern day humanity; about humanity of any time, honestly. We're such creatures of our desires, whatever those desires might be. A person could desire only that which is good and wholesome, but that too can absorb their very being, their soul, their minds, sucking them into an endless consuming abyss that takes over their very lives. Life is a constant struggle that only ends in death. Beyond death? It's anyone's guess.

Hey You Guuuuuuuuys! Egg
A piece of ancient and weathered parchment that carries with it the faint hint of smelly old sneakers, stand out in stature amongst the gang. It's lumpy, malformed exterior is marred by a multitude of fine lines, promises the gaze that wanders of bounty beyond imagination. Capped at one end, the mark of its maker's seal: waxed crimson bleeds, pressed by design to guarantee this egg's spirit of adventure.
Described by: Sh'dan
Egg Inspiration: I couldn't pass up an opportunity to revisit a childhood favourite. Anything to do with adventure, imagination and a quest for something seemingly unattainable usually found me eagerly waiting for the next scene, or impatiently scanning to move over to the next page. The egg here, it's just the starting point for a long journey of mischief, mayhem and quite possibly the grandest treasure of them all.
Burning Chaos Egg
Large and squat, this egg is hot, hot, HOT. Swirls of orange, red, and yellow coat the surface of the shell, flames licking the gently curving sides. Roiling clouds of noxious brown-black smoke churn over and around the flames, threatening to choke any that get too near. Blackened, burned silhouettes stand as effigies of once proud trees and buildings, toppling as the fire weakens and destroys them completely. Some internal wind whips the flames and churns the smoke in an illusion of constant motion. The eggs surface glistens, as if that internal wind and fire is evaporating every trace of moisture within and around where it sits in the hot sands.
Described by: Kelethin
Egg Inspiration: The burning of Atlanta from Gone with the Wind. In order to demoralize the people of the South, General Sherman burnt the city of Atlanta. The movie does an epic job portraying this chaos, considering the lack of fantastic special effects during the time when the movie was made, the flames really are spectacular. This is also one of the several climaxes in the movie.
I've got more on the way, but I thought this was enough spam for a bit.

You Will Not Enjoy This Egg
Striking colors splash vividly along this ovoid form: flesh and backlight, crimson of blood and deep coal of midnight. A pretty squiggle could almost be taken for a profile of a particular weyrwoman's delicate features, the darkness behind the full sweep of black hair. If only it wasn't for the promise of bloodletting and vengeance that sweeps with the cold silver edge reminiscent of bladed weapon, and vibrant splashes like lifeblood's last vintage that scythes over the base - oh, if only.
Described by: Tyrar
Egg Inspiration: My favorite part in 300 is where that ratty doofus looking guy gets his just rewards. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen, but: at least the /viewers/ enjoy it. Ratty doofus looking guy, not so much. xD

California Zephyr Egg
Cracked and cratered pool blue bakes to a weathered aqua, tinged grey by the persistent brutality of verdigris rubber wheels. A tenaciously invasive figure, bronzed by the very sun that has corroded the oval's formerly vibrant blues, steals a snapshot moment of history, forever indelibly making a mark that will move the masses in a way never before seen. Blonde wood, discolored white soles, and golden hair under an emerald green cap add to the notable sliver of time, while pocked concrete grey rounds out the bottom curve of the egg.
Described by: Q'luin
Egg Inspiration: The Dogtown Boys!! Also Dogtown and The Z Boys! One 'based' on fact and the other a documentary. Both about an amazing group of trail blazers that created the culture that I was born into, known in their time to be EXTREME (all capitols!), and in my time to be typical California skateboarder/surfer culture. They didn't just blaze the way, they burned it, and everything across the world formerly known as skateboarding, right to the ground. They made gritty cool, and dangerous awesome. They made 'out of the box' 'out of this world'! Every skater grew up with a mentor amongst the Z Boys, and mine was Jay Adams, pictured here on this egg. Crazy, raw, amazing, and GTF out of my way!! type of guy. Something like 35 years later, taking him likely well into his 50s, he's still tearing up the waves, asphalt, and swimming pools!! This is also a nod to Heath Ledger who did an awesome awesome job depicting Skip.

Heal the Crystal! Egg
Watercolor tumbaga bleeds over timeworn parchment, coalescing into geometric shapes that tell of a fantastical world split apart. The Great Sun, the Rose Sun, and the Dying Sun, all orbit towards the cinnamon-kissed center of a great conjunction. Ordained by the Mystics, a soul's fate has been sealed: Heal what was sundered and undone, returning two back into one.
Described by: Wyn
Egg Inspiration: When one thinks of the movie The Dark Crystal, it's almost an automatic temptation to think of that richly hued amethyst crystal floating within the heart of that corrupt Skeksis castle, or perhaps that of the fuzzy Fizgig (one of my favorites next to Aughra) or the lush forests that Jen must adventure through in order to return the Shard to the heart of the Dark Crystal. What often goes missed is the subtle symbology and heavy meaning that influence the beliefs of the Mystics and how they see their world and Jen's destiny. It's a written language and work of art that I've held in fascination for countless years and decided to share with one and all. Enjoy!

Ethereal Light Egg
This small egg has a large, rounded bottom that tapers slowly and gracefully to a much narrower tip. That narrow tip is bright silver; a cap that serves to keep precious contents inside and protected. The rest of the egg is covered in a brilliant, pure white. Instead of just swathing the egg, the white seems to shine from within the egg itself, as if the egg was made of glass instead of an opaque shell. The illusion of shadow reveals a cross-hatch pattern along the neck of the egg. The luminous white highlights the silver cap, making it appear to take on and reflect that strange, radiant light.
Described by: Kelethin
Egg Inspiration: The Phial of Galadriel from The Lord of the Rings. Again, one of my favorite movie(s) of all time. Galadriel gave Frodo the phial so that he would have light even in the deepest darkness. No, I dont remember the quote exactly, but it went something like that.

Strangers Think I'm Trustworthy Egg
Torrential rains wash over a midnight-blue backdrop, exposing the lone silhouette of a stranded stranger in the night. The oppressive nature looms large and everywhere - only the silvery glints of rain countering the pitch creases of a horrifying abyss. Innocent, quite possibly even amiable. This is but a coy plot to lure a well-meaning samaritan onward to their doom.

You Speak Whale? Egg
A cheshire-cat's grin is startlingly /blue/, set against the seascape of this egg's wavering beauty. The clear, clear blue of Istan waters at midday frame this undeniable vision of wicked layers of shark-teeth, toothsome in a hungry grin; terrified squiggles of deepest cobalt and multicolored orange-and-blue are near comic against the vision of Death's promise. To further enhance uneasiness, at the apex of the egg there are two blurbs that look rather like /eyes/, malicious gluttony gleaming if one's imagination looks just right.
Described by: Tyrar
Egg Inspiration: Finding Nemo. It's a great movie. SHARK BAIT SHARK BAIT SHARK BAIT, bruhaha! I love Dory. Did you know she's blue, and has about as much of a memory as I do? Did I mention I love Dory? She's blue, you know. And her memory's as bad as a goldfish. And did I mention that I lov— (Ahem.)

Blood Stained Instrument Egg
Brushstrokes war with puddled spilled stain upon the mottled shell in hues of red ranging from deepest crimson to the brilliancy of flame. But there is a hint of mystery and tragedy in the myriad patterns, faces emerging alongside the outlines of a stringed instrument or is it the side and waist of a bared woman? There's a story to be told within these designs but the real tale will be told only when the shell is sundered.
Described by: S'tao
Egg Inspiration: The Red Violin follows the life of a 'perfect' violin and its owners through history from 1861 to the present day. A woman's tarot reading speaks of a long life frought with travels, history, and wonder but she dies and her blood is imbued into the violin, which was made by her grieving husband. The life of the violin is what was read and told through several stories that take place in different locations across the world. This is one of my favorite movies, each of the stories is enthralling and captivating up and to the twist ending.

Steel Equilibrium Egg
Cold grey concrete meets chilled metal and hard black tile; a lifeless merge of geometry and unfeeling utility that leeches both color and emotion from its surroundings. A lone illuminated figure is seen walking through the dead space of it all, his figure shrouded by perfectly tailored ebon wrappings. Expressionless. Is there anything beneath the bleak facade?
Described by: Tia
Egg Inspiration: Candidacy can sometimes be viewed as the time when people put their best foot forward, keeping all the little quirks hidden. And for others it's about character development to break through that tough shell of personality. For almost everyone it's a time of growth and forming friendships. So I thought that the totalitarian and (demanded) emotionlessness of the Equilibrium world was an interesting contrast to make between the conflicting desires of weyr rules and candidacy, and what image candidates are also trying to project. Beneath the shell of the egg is a dragonet with emotion and color and everything that Equilibrium's Grammaton Clerics fought to keep control of - but it's also what most of the candidates on the sand are really after. Plus, Christian Bale is *hot*.

Viva la Revolution! Egg
Voila! Voracious sable vexed by the virtual strikes of gory vermilion vivify this visage in unending voracity. A vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain attempts, in vain to van-guard against the vicissitudes of Fate. Valorous visitations, no mere veneer of vanity have vowed to vanquish these virulent vermin by vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.
Described by: Madri
Egg Inspiration: I am and always have been a lover of this particular film, especially the language used within. And the visuals. To me it's one of those rare films that can be watched over and over and over again and never lose that same level of fascination for me. I have never based characters off of this theme, so the egg gets to be my first real exploration into that, but /oh/ how one day I'd love to bring 'V' on camera in Pernese version. (Just don't expect me to try and use 'v's all the time).
Picture: http://jazimomo.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/v-for-vendetta-logo-wallpaper1.jpg
I'm a Believer Egg
A sickening, mottled yellow-green patina has enveloped this egg. The color drips about the perimeter of the shell much like slime in a bog hugs the peaks and valleys of a rock surface, but without the expected smell. Although fairly uniform in shape, two misshapen bulges are emerge near the top, on either side. Near the bottom, a rough patch of aggregate dresses the ovoid in a vest of raw umber.
Described by: Delia
Egg Inspiration: Basically, this egg is Shrek, from the Shrek movies. A sickening-looking green life form from the swamps with quirky bulgy ears and a brown vest.
Picture: http://talentedapps.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/shrek.jpg
Comedically Creepy Egg
This large, bulbous egg is bad. So bad that it fits into only two categories: Awesome, and skin-crawlingly creepy. A toxic, silvery blue vapor swirls across its surface, thickening and enveloping the crown and sides in encroaching, unnatural night. The base crawls forth with black, spiny splotches, drones that swarm and skitter with comedic cheer across a barren field of softer grays. A small, rosy smudge dots the middle of one side of the egg, dripping bleak, black venom that reaches, streeeetches slowly along the center and wraps it in eight thick, eerie, silver-tipped limbs.
Described by: Baiden
Egg Inspiration: Choosing this theme for a movie-based egg really wasn't a difficult decision. Egg Legged Freaks! One of the best spider B-movies out there. It's creepy as hell, but at the same time hilarious enough to rock your socks. It's a great satire for not taking life too seriously, even when the hard knocks come around, or at least that's what I took from this movie. Spider phobias get a wee bit diminished (or avenged!) when one sees a six foot spider flying through the air, chittering nonsensically, and getting blown away by a bazooka.

That's No Moon, It's An Egg
Short and squat, this nearly monochromatic grey egg appears more like a circle than an egg, a near-perfect sphere. Blurry lights and darker grey mottles in a band about the middle, with grainy resolution to cloud the exact depiction of industrial secrets. A shade of lighter grey, a perfect circle, gives the ominous appearance of a dimple in the northern hemisphere: an harshly glaring eye for an otherwise pristine battle station of an egg.
Described by: Tyrar
Egg Inspiration: Okay, everyone knows what the Death Star is, right? Right? Well, for those who don't, go watch Star Wars, and just remember: "That's no moon."

At The Edge of Evil Egg
A tumultuous battle rages from one end of this eternal ovoid to the other, splitting it in half with a deceptive jagged crack that splinters, giving way to the encroachment of one or the other. Hellish raging red burns onto the cusp of a tranquil heavenly blue, only to be fought back by the purity of purple that soon succumbs to scorching yellow. Impartial gold gains ground in the confusion, blending into billowy white obscurity. First one dominates, but eventually the tide changes, temporarily shifting supremacy in an endless war of opposing wills.
Described by: Q'luin
Egg Inspiration: This egg is based on 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus', which is a movie I've waited years to see and finally got to recently. It's a really imaginative film - very much a Terry Gilliam work of art. The endless struggle between the light and dark is something that everyone can relate to, be they religious or not, and so this movie, and hopefully this egg, evokes something in us all that is both familiar and emotional, conjuring feelings of dread, as well as triumph, over and over again.

The Sky is Falling Egg
One side of this ovoid has a deep purple sheen. Deep crimson panels dot the egg and wind their way around the outer shell in a circular shape, while lime green splotches form an odd L-shape around the top perimeter. Fuchsia drips and drops, as if the egg's creator couldn't decide what to do with the color palette. The color scheme is quite different on the other side of the egg. Chestnut brown swaths the shell lovingly, lending a texture to the egg reminiscent of soft sisal fabric. Interrupting the chestnut brown bliss are the foxtail orange swaths forming a strange V-shape at the bottom.

Egg Inspiration: I love the movie Chicken Little. This egg is a synthesis of the space-ship panel that fell on Chicken's head and his round little rear end that he sticks in the air while cowering in fear from those pesky aliens.

Ominous Ringed Tree Egg
Out of the violaceous sides pools pure darkness, all but shrouding the center that is bordered by a blazing ring of light. It is no heavenly cascade but rather an eerie haunting circle that almost beckons one to reach out towards it. Contained within is the illusion of blistered wallpaper where a dead and leafless three rises up with it's branches in an agony of blazing flame slowly consuming and incinerating with a heat that is almost tangible.

Egg Inspiration: The Ring movie was based on a japanese novel Ringu which has been remade several times in different languages and countries. The original was a freaky thriller and the American adaptation was great too. Asian horror films totally freak me out.
